Organization VPN usage worldwide 2022

In 2022, 22 percent of respondents from a global survey state that their organization is using two virtual private network (VPN) gateways. In general, a total of 61 percent of companies have three or more VPN gateways. A VPN gateway is a specific type of virtual network gateway that connects two more more networks or devices together in a virtual private network infrastructure. Importantly, more gateways translate into more complicated actions of IT to manage, which means more gateways also make remote access more expensive.
