Most concerning environmental impacts of packaging in India 2020, by age group

Air pollution and water pollution are the most concerning environmental impacts of product packaging across all age groups in India. In 2020, those aged 35 to 54 were slightly more concerned about air pollution and water pollution than those in other age groups. Product packaging can negatively impact the environment in a number of ways such as deforestation due to increasing demand for paper packaging, emissions from production, and littering by end consumers. Respondents in India were more concerned emissions from packaging than any other country surveyed. Concerns about air pollution are certainly warranted, as India is one of the most polluted countries in the world.
