The youth labor participation rate in Algeria was nearly 23 percent in 2021. In the period examined, the rate generally decreased, reaching the lowest levels in 2020. That year, only around 22 percent of the people aged 15-24 years in the country were participating in the labor force, meaning that they were employed or actively seeking employment.
