Tanzania: total value of remittances 2010-2020

As of 2020, Tanzania received a total of 409.1 million U.S. dollars of personal remittances, sinking by around 24 million U.S. dollars compared to 2019. That year registered the highest amount of personal remittances since 2010. The amounts of annual remittances transferred from Tanzanian migrants to residents in the homeland slightly fluctuated during the timespan but kept an approximate average of 400 U.S. million dollars.
