Datang Tuoketuo power station is the largest operational coal power plant in China as of 2023, with a capacity of roughly 6.1 gigawatts. This power plant is owned by Datang International Power Generation Co, and is also the largest coal power plant in the world. In fact, China houses six out of the ten largest coal power plants globally.
