Between April and September 2021, about 72 billion Philippine pesos worth of remittances sent by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) were sent through bank transfers, making it the most used transfer mode. Meanwhile, remittances sent through friends or co-workers amounted to approximately 0.02 billion Philippine pesos.
