Olympic doping tests which returned a positive result worldwide 2012-2021
Doping occurs when an athlete uses prohibited substances or methods to improve their results in training and competitions. This practice is forbidden for any athlete participating in a competition or sporting event, such as the Olympics, and anti-doping tests are regularly carried out. Of the over 241 thousand samples analyzed in 2021, around 0.40 percent of those taken for Olympic sports reported an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF).
