Import value of mercury worldwide in 2020, by country
Bolivia is the world's leading importing country of mercury. In 2020, the South American country imported over 147 thousand kilograms of the metal, with a value of 7.69 million U.S. dollars. Ranking second was India, which imported nearly six million U.S. dollars of mercury. That same year, India was also the top second exporting country of mercury worldwide, with an export value that amounted to some 2.3 million U.S. dollars.
