Catering industry employee number in Taiwan 2016-2022
The number of employees in Taiwan's catering industry was growing consistently between 2016 and 2019 peaking at 412,730. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the negative growth appeared for the first time in 2020. That year, the number of employees in the food and beverage service industry dropped to around 393,520 and increased only slightly in the following two years.
