Mexican cities that experienced the largest YoY growth of CPI in October 2022
In October 2022, the inflation rate of Mexico compared to the same month of the previous year reached 8.41 percentage points, the highest figure since, at least, the beginning of 2018. San Francisco de Campeche, the capital of Campeche, registered the largest year-on-year increase in prices, with inflation reaching 10.57 percent. Tapachula, in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, had the second largest annual change of the consumer price index (CPI), at 10.45 percent.
