A survey conducted in 2022 among Australian consumers revealed that the leading reason for ordering in food among respondents was because it is more convenient than cooking, with around 45 percent of respondents indicating this. Many of those surveyed also said they often ordered takeout to satisfy sudden cravings or to support local businesses.
