Share of treatments in private and government hospitals in India FY 2017-2027
The share of treatments in terms of value at 65 percent was provided by the private hospitals in India during the financial year 2022. In comparison, government hospitals contributed to 35 percent for the same year. Most of the healthcare services in the country are projected towards private hospitals both for IPD and OPD because of low government healthcare expenditure.
