UK Government: monthly number of G-cloud suppliers 2013-2016 This statistic shows the cumulative number of G-cloud suppliers in the United Kingdom (UK) from January 2013 to November 2016. The number of G-Cloud suppliers increased considerably in the UK from 2013 to 2016. It increased from 62 suppliers in January 2013 to 976 suppliers in November 2016. G-Cloud, or Government Cloud Computing, is a UK government program aiming for government-wide adoption of cloud computing. In addition, cloud computing is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer.
In addition to the increase in the number of suppliers, the spending on G-Cloud by the UK government increased considerably as well.
