Clean energy investment in Latin America

In 2019, nearly 12 billion U.S. dollars were invested in clean energy in Latin American countries, an increase of over 68 percent in comparison to a year earlier. This was also the highest figure reported in the indicated period. Since 2010, cross-border clean energy investment in the region have surpassed 65.5 billion dollars. As of November 2020, Chile was the most attractive Latin American country for renewable energy investment.
