This statistic shows the environmental sustainability ranking of the Nordic countries in the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index (TTCI) in 2019. Environmental sustainability for travel and tourism in this statistic consists of the following: stringency and of environmental regulations, sustainability of travel and tourism industry development, particulate matter (2.5) concentration, environmental treaty ratification, baseline water stress, threatened species, forest cover change, wastewater treatment and costal shelf fishing pressure. In 2019, Norway reached the highest index score of 5.8 in environmental sustainability out of all the Nordic countries, followed by Finland and Denmark.

opinions of 14,723 business executives in 141 economies
between February and June 2016. Most questions in the Survey ask respondents to evaluate, on a scale of 1 to 7, one particular aspect of

represents the worst possible situation; at the other end
of the scale, 7 represents the best. The Survey is administered by the World Economic Forum and conducted at national level by the Forum’s
