Startup funding in the Nordic countries 2016 by country This statistic shows the startup funding in the Nordic countries in 2016, by country (in million U.S. dollars). In 2016, Sweden saw the largest amount of startup funding in the Nordics region, the funding amount reaching 373 million U.S. dollars. In Finland the startup funding amounted to a little under 270 million. In Denmark, the corresponding amount was a little under 114 million U.S. dollars. Norway accounted for a little over 83 million and Denmark for nearly 35 million out of the total annual startup funding of 875 million U.S. dollars. In 2016, some of the Nordic countries saw positive growth while some countries experienced negative growth in the startup funding.
