Blu Hotels was the leading domestic hotel chain brand in Italy based on the number of establishments, with 30 hotels in the country. That year, TH Resorts and Apogia Hotels Beach followed on the ranking, with 29 and 28 establishments, respectively.

Leading international hotel chain brands in Italy

When looking at international hotel chain brands in Italy, one company stood out in 2022: Best Western. Overall, Best Western recorded both the highest number of establishments among international hotel chain brands in Italy and the highest number of hotel rooms. Other leading brands were B&B, NH Hotels, and Mercure.

Three-star hotels are the most numerous in the country

In 2021, three-star hotels were the most common type of hotel in Italy, with over twice as many establishments as four-star hotels. That year, the number of beds in three-star hotels in Italy totaled over 890 thousand.
