This statistic shows the number of nights spent by tourists from the United Kingdom in holiday and other short stay accommodation in Europe in 2017, by country. The highest number of overnight stays was in Spain, where UK tourists spent a total of around 21.9 million nights in holiday accommodation. This type of accommodation includes holiday homes, apartments and youth hotels. It excludes camping grounds and serviced accommodation such as hotels and guest houses.
