Chile: authorized area for new construction projects 2008-2022, by type
The area authorized by building permits for new construction projects in Chile amounted to over 12 million square meters in 2022, a decrease of more than 18 percent in comparison to the previous year. This was also the lowest figure recorded in the country since 2010. Most of the construction surface authorized was destined for residential units.
