Wildfire annual growth in Ecuador 2014-2022
The number of wildfire outbreaks identified in Ecuador increased by nearly 152 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year. This was the second-largest growth in wildfire outbreaks reported in the South American country during the period in consideration. In 2022, more than 3,100 wildfires were registered across Ecuador.
