Japan: number of patients with mycosis infections 2017

In 2017, almost 40 thousand people were treated for mycosis per day, accounting for around 21 percent of infectious and parasitic disease patients recorded in the surveyed period. Mycosis refers to a contagious fungal infection commonly affecting the skin or the lungs of patients.
