Crude steel production share using basic oxygen furnace India 2013-2019

Basic oxygen furnace (BOF) was the most preferred process route for the production of crude steel in India at the end of fiscal year 2018, accounting for 46 percent of the total production. The production share was expected to further increase and estimated to reach 47 percent at the end of fiscal year 2019. As of 2018, India was the world's second largest steel producing nation.
