Average electricity tariff Indonesia 2020, by usage

As of December 2020, the average electricity tariff in Indonesia for low power usage amounted to 1444.70 Indonesian rupiah. The different electricity tariff groups should be adjusted to exchange rate fluctuations of the U.S. dollar against the Indonesian rupiah. In 2020, there were tariff adjustments for the low voltage tariff realized by PLN, decreased from 1467.28 starting in September 2020.

The electricity tariff is set by taking into account customer financial capability and installed voltage of each customer group. The higher the installed voltage, the higher the tariff imposed.

  • Low power (TR)
    • - R-1/TR, 1300 VA (small households)
    - R-1/TR, 2200 VA (small households)
    - R-2/TR, 3500 VA – 5500 VA (medium households)
    - R-3/TR, 6600 VA and above (big households)
  • Medium power (TM)
    • - B-3/TM, above 200 kVA (big enterprises)
    - I-3/TM, above 200 kVA (medium industries)
    - P-2/TM, above 200 kVA (big government offices)
  • High power (TT)
    • - I-4/TT, 30,000 kVA and above (big industries)
  • Special service (L)
    • - others

One thousand Indonesian rupiah (IDR) equals 0.069 U.S dollars and 0.061 euros (as of July 2020).
