The volume of containers handled at the port of Aarhus fluctuated markedly between 2009 and 2011 in the range of roughly 2.65 million and 3.2 million metric tons. From 2012 onwards, the volume increased from nearly 2.66 million tons to about 3.8 million tons in 2019.
