Dominican Republic: medical equipment exports from free trade areas 2011-2019
In the past decade, the Dominican Republic saw a continuous growth in the value of exports of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment through its free trade zones. This sector's exports increased from 1.18 billion U.S. dollars in 2011 to 1.66 billion in 2019. Only in 2017, medical and pharmaceutical exports registered a slight decrease in comparison to the previous year.
