Estimated investment for transportation sector in India FY 2020-2025, by mode
As per the national infrastructure pipeline of the Government of India, investments worth 286 billion U.S. dollars were planned for roadways for the fiscal years 2020 to 2025. In all, around 574 billion U.S. dollars were planned as an investment for the transportation sector. Fifty percent of that was for roadways, while railways had a 32 percent share. This money would be contributed by the central government, state government, and the private sector.
