Share of car dealers India 2022 by sector
In financial year 2022, about 45 percent of the car dealers across India belonged to the unorganized sector. Despite having a share of 20 percent, the organized sector across the country sold more cars per dealer compared to the other sectors. From financial year 2016 to 2020, there was a five percent increase in the number of organized dealers in India, with a CAGR of 14 percent.
