Argentina: number of wine tourism establishments in Mendoza 2019, by department

As of April 2019, there were 146 wineries opened for wine tourism in the Argentine province of Mendoza. Luján de Cuyo was the department with the largest number of wineries welcoming wine tourists in Mendoza, with 61 establishments in total. Maipú and San Rafael followed, with 23 and 22 tourism wineries, respectively. Most of these wineries were either small or mid-sized businesses. The vineyard area in Argentina amounts to more than 200 thousand hectares.
