Located in South Carolina in the United States, the port of Charleston is the state's main economic driver. With trade partners such as Germany, China, and the United Kingdom, from 2012 to 2020 there has been a substantial increase in the loaded inbound shipment volume. In 2019, the volume of inbound shipments amounted to about 1.1 million TEUs, the highest volume recorded within this period.
