COVID-19: impact on hotel occupancy in Spain in 2020

The impact of the coronavirus on hotel reservations in Spain began to take notice in March 2020. After two months of increase, it was reduced by almost half compared to the same month in 2019. In April, given the closure of borders and the confinement imposed during the state of alarm in the country, the usage of hotels was non-existent. Already in June, it had risen to 18.75 percent.
