Obstacles to the use of health data against insurance fraud in France 2017
Projects to fight against fraud, regardless of the nature and quantity of data they need, are subject to various constraints specific to digital projects. In France, in 2017, 58 percent of the health insurance professionals surveyed said that they were facing difficulties in finding, recruiting and maintaining the skills needed to set up and develop this type of project. For 44 percent of them, the difficulty resided in the fact that the data was not centralized in the same place. A third difficulty was that the budgets allocated to anti-fraud projects were insufficient, affecting 37 percent of respondents.
