The monthly average price for unpacked buffalo butter in Egypt amounted to 172.12 Egyptian pounds (5.56 U.S. dollars) per kilogram in May 2023. This showed an increase in the price of roughly 2.92 percent, compared to the previous month. During the period under investigation, the largest jump in price occurred between December 2022 and January 2023, from 136.68 Egyptian pounds (4,42 U.S. dollars) to 151.26 Egyptian pounds (4,89 U.S. dollars) per kilogram, an increase of roughly 10.68 percent.
