Export value of goods from Ghana 2019, by category
As of 2019, pearls, precious stones, metals and coins was the largest category of imports to Ghana with regard to their monetary value. This amounted to approximately 6.2 billion U.S. dollars, occupying 37 percent of the country's total exports. In the same year, the category of goods with the second and third highest export values were mineral fuels, oils and distillation products, and cocoa and cocoa preparations, which reached 5.32 billion U.S. dollars and 2.71 billion U.S. dollars respectively.
