Distribution of bank credit in Ghana 2018-2020, by sector

As of June 2020, banks outstanding credit to the public sector in Ghana stood at 6.9 billion Ghana cedis (GHS) (1.2 billion U.S. dollars), while 45.2 billion GHS (7.8 billion U.S. dollars) were granted to the private sector. Between 2018 and 2020, the highest credit value from banks in the country was directed to the private sector.
