As of December 2023, Kenya had some 77.3 million registered mobile money accounts, slightly increasing from 77.1 million in the previous month. Since January 2021, the number of accounts in the country has overall increased, despite some fluctuations. In fact, the number of registered mobile money accounts has already surpassed the population of Kenya, estimated at 51.5 million people in 2023.
