As of 2023, Marriott international had 135 existing hotels across Africa, and 123 in the pipeline. This was the leading hotel company with the highest existing and pipeline hotels in the region, with 24,898 rooms and 22,776 rooms, respectively. Accor followed with 161 existing hotels and 89 hotels under development in Africa.
