Power production breakdown in Hungary 2021, by source
Hungary sources most of its electricity from nuclear power plants. In 2021, 46 percent of total electricity generation was derived from this source. Gas- and lignite coal-fired power plants ranked second and third, respectively. That year, 37.4 percent of Hungary's electricity production was fossil fuel-based.
