Global share of green patent filings 2020, by industry
Among the GREEN100 organizations worldwide, patent filings was the highest from energy and power industry, accounting for over 25 percent of the filings between January 01, 2015, and February 29, 2020. Patents filed by the GREEN100 organizations were distributed across 48 countries, of which only Japan and the United States accounted for more than half of the green patent filings during that time.
