The number of listed companies in the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) was 215 in 2020, and this represented a drop of three companies from the preceding year. From 2016 onwards, the number of listed companies in the EGX dropped from 222 companies to the trough in 2020. Moreover, the number of traded companies in EGX reached 214 in 2020.
