According to a survey on e-wallet usage in Vietnam in 2021 by Decision Lab, the leading reason for choosing e-wallets over other payment methods among the respondents was the ease to transfer and receive money from friends or family, as stated by 66 percent of them. The availability of more promotions was the second-most popular reason for this choice.
