COVID-19 impact on job recruitment among private companies in Algeria 2020-2021
According to a study conducted in Algeria, 28 percent of the companies that took part in the survey stopped recruiting in the first quarter of 2021 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In comparison, the hiring freeze was adopted by 24 percent of the businesses in 2020. However, most enterprises - 35 percent in 2021 and 36 percent in 2020 - continued to recruit amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
