China is the world's leading exporter country of herbicides, anti-sprouting agents and plant-growth regulators. In 2021, the East Asian country exported over 1.4 million metric tons of these products, with a value of 4.93 billion U.S. dollars. Ranking second was India, which exported some 1.67 billion U.S. dollars of herbicides. That year, Brazil was the top importing country of herbicides, anti-sprouting products and plant-growth regulators worldwide, with an import value that amounted to 836.4 million U.S. dollars.
