Share of CEOs confident that AfCFTA initiatives will boost intra-African trade 2022
According to a survey conducted in 2022, most CEOs in Africa were confident that measures put in place by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will boost intra-African trade. Specifically, while 28 percent of the respondents were moderately confident, 27 percent and 26 percent were confident and very confident, respectively. In May 2019, the AfCFTA agreement officially entered into force, after 22 African countries had ratified it.
