Impact of Queen Elizabeth's death among Canadians 2022, by age
On September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II passed away, leaving - among other things - the role of Canadian monarch to her son, Charles III. The Léger polling institute was interested in knowing whether the death of the Queen had an impact on the personal lives of Canadians. Almost a quarter of the respondents indicated that the impact had been major or moderate. Those most affected by the death were people over the age of 55.
