In 2022, the public sector body that had the highest value of contracts awarded to it from the United Kingdom government was construction, with roughly 20 percent of total contract value. The sector that saw the largest growth in terms of contract value awarded was IT as it went from five percent in 2018 to ten percent of the total in 2022.
