Earthquake insurance in Turkey is compulsory for residential buildings in urban areas. It is not enforced by the state, however services such as electricity, water and natural gas are not provided to houses that do not have a TCIP policy.
Compulsory earthquake insurance in Turkey covers the material losses which are directly caused by an earthquake and any fire, explosions, tsunami or landslides which occur as a result of an earthquake within the limits specified in your policy.
