According to a survey conducted in 2023, 47 percent of Black Americans said that they approved of selective colleges and universities taking race and ethnicity into account in admissions decisions in order to increase diversity at school in the United States, while 39 percent of Hispanic Americans and 37 percent of Asian Americans shared this belief.
