Largest motor insurance companies in Italy 2022, by gross written premiums
In 2022, Gruppo Assicurativo Unipol was the largest motor insurance company by gross written premiums in Italy. The Bologna-based insurer had motor liability insurance premiums worth 2.95 billion euros and motor hull insurance premiums worth 874.7 million euros in that year. Generali and Gruppo Assicurativo Allianz followed behind with three billion and 2.67 billion euros, respectively.
