In 2020, China accounted for the largest portion of the total share of global refined lead production, having produced roughly five million metric tons. This accounted for roughly 43.5 percent of the total global refined lead production that year. Following China, the United States produced around one million metric tons of refined lead, accounting for roughly 8.7 percent of the share.
