As of October 2023, China had the largest prospective capacity of nuclear power with a total amounting to roughly 116 gigawatts. Second to China at this time was India with a total nuclear power capacity of 32 gigawatts.
The two countries also had the largest nuclear electricity capacity under construction worldwide that year.
